Using the Rigel System
A Rigel analysis starts with a background map of the area, the geographic
coordinates of the crimes, and any database that the profiler wants to
prioritize.
The profiler enters the location of crimes and suspects,
and then creates scenarios based on linkage certainty. Each crime series
is stored in a file that the profiler can add to or modify at any time.
The analysis can be displayed in plan view, or as 3D surface
maps, referred to as "jeopardies."
